Choosing a sailing school
US SAILING Certification System
The national governing body of the sport of sailing, US SAILING is a non-profit, volunteer organization originally established in 1898. The tangible proof of your knowledge and skill is US SAILING certification, which is the most respected and valued certification available today, with standards far above any other certification system in the United States. Though certification is not a requirement for driving a sailboat in the U.S. or Caribbean, it is the strongest measure of your abilities and widely respected by sailboat rental and charter companies. Your certification and Logbook are your passport for renting boats near home or chartering in paradise. US Sailing schools offer:
*Certified instructors for professional attention to your safety and instruction;
*Developed instruction materials to help you gain competency and confidence in your sailing skills;
*Certification to prove your achievement and to give you a passport to charter boats locally or worldwide;
*Membership to make you a part of the National Governing Body of Sailing;
*One-Year subscription to a major sailing magazine and more.
Become a Texas Sailing, US Sailing sailor for your passport to a lifetime of sailing enjoyment.
