ATTENTION SAILBOAT OWNERS
WINTERIZATION AND FALL SERVICE
The Anchorage is a full service dealership that specializes in the service and repair of sailboats. Use the following checklist to decide what services you would like to have performed this winter. By scheduling now, you can avoid the last minute spring rush and be assured that you will be ready for an early launch with a boat that has been fully inspected and seaworthy.
Outboard Winterization
Change lower unit lube, engine oil, fog engine cylinders, filters as needed.
Full Engine Service
All service included in winterization, plus change plugs, tune-up.
Diesel Engines
Change oil, change oil filters and fuel filters, fuel stabilizer & biocide, replace water pump impeller and winterize. It is best to have the fuel tank full for winter storage.
Water System Winterization
To save cost, empty your water system tanks prior to haul-out. We will run winterization fluid through your water system and water tank.
Marine Head Winterization
The Anchorage does not have the ability to pump out marine heads. Your holding tank should be pumped out and empty prior to haul-out. We will run winterization fluid through your head and into your holding tank.
Porta-Potty
These are your responsibility. Remove all waste then rinse and empty the supply tank and allow to dry before replacing caps.
Topside Power Wash
If you are going to have your boat shrink-wrapped, it is best to have the boat power washed prior to having it wrapped.
Bottom Power Wash and Water Line Cleaning
We will pressure wash the bottom and clean the scum from the water line. If your boat does not have bottom paint we can acid wash the complete bottom to remove most of the scum.
Bottom Paint
Complete bottom paint or bottom paint touch up.
Wax hull
After power washing your boat we can wax just the hull or the entire boat. We never wax the non-skid portion of the deck.
Shrink Wrap
There is no better way to protect your boat and rigging during the winter months. We can shrink wrap your boat and rigging, install vents and foam spacers to help prevent chaffing. We DO NOT recommend tarps. Plastic tarps seldom last through a winter season and will chafe your gel-cote as the tarp works loose during the winter. Full canvas covers that are not vented tend to cause mildew. The Anchorage charges $10 a foot (based on mast length) to shrink wrap your sailboat
Sail Repair
Inspect sails, repair any tears, re-sew loose seams or batten pockets, replace sail slides, replace battens, replace headboard, replace or add UV protection.
New Sails
Let us give you a quote on new sails. Winter is the ideal time to place an order for a new sail. During the sailing season the wait can be up to 8-10 weeks.
Fiberglass Repair
Repair dock rash, cracks, nicks, air voids.
Canvas Repair
We can repair sail covers, biminis, pedestal covers, companionway covers or use your worn out canvas as a pattern to have a new one made.
Standing Rigging Check
Includes a complete rigging check including all wire, fittings, turnbuckles, pins, and cotter rings/pins, replace wind vane.
Running Rigging Check
Includes a complete check of all running rigging and replacement of worn halyards, masthead pulleys, mainsheet, furling line.
Swing Keel
Your boat will be hoisted and the swing keel inspected, pivot bolt check, winch checked, keel cable or line replaced.
Winch Service
Service all winches.
Trailer Repair
Bunks
Replace and re-carpet trailer bunks or pads
Wheel Bearings/ Brakes/New Tires
Replace and repack wheel bearings, Repair or replace brakes, surge brake actuator
Lights
Replace or repair wiring, lights, lenses, and bulbs
New Installs
Electronics, opening ports, solar panel, roller furling, radios, custom rigging.
Winter Storage
The Anchorage has winter storage available for $40 a month.
Haul Out/Boat Transport
The Anchorage will provide whatever level of service that you desire. We can haul out your boat and transport it to The Anchorage, provide service and storage and deliver it back in the spring.
