J/Boats' versatile 35' racer-cruiser, J/109 features the popular carbon fiber retractable bowsprit and asymmetric spinnaker system and a cruisable 2-cabin interior layout with standing headroom. She is designed with a very low VCG, long waterline, and generous sail plan with the horse power for competitive racing and stability for relaxed cruising when the racing crew is not aboard. The J/109 is stable, easy to sail, and a proven performance boat. There is interior volume and amenities necessary for comfortable cruising and a great dual purpose deck layout.

J/109 Awarded Boat of the year in the Netherlands… The Dutch magazine "Zeilen" tested 21 new boats. For the first time journalists came together to discuss the tested boats in order to elect the most impressive boat of the year for the Netherlands. The J/109 is the winner and boat of the year in the Netherlands… The Dutch agent won the Round Britain & Ireland Race with its J/109 in 2002.

J/Boats are designed & built to be fun, versatile, comfortable and easy to handle in a wide variety of conditions. There are three general categories of J/Boats. These include the "J/Sprit" series of boats that are equipped with a retractable carbon fiber bowsprit for flying an asymmetrical spinnaker; the "Cruising" series with boats specifically designed and equipped for the cruiser that appreciates performance & stability; and the "International One-Designs" (IOD) models that have active international class associations.
