Saturday, 6th: All Day Fun
Sunday, 7th: Return to your home port

Pay for the first night for the slip and get the second night FREE
-$1.50 per foot per night
-$8 per night 30AMP

-Seminar on the advantages of Neil Pryde Sails
-Demonstration on how to fly a cruising spinnaker
-Awards Dinner (cash & credit cards accepted)
Sunday the 7th
-Coffee, orange juice & donuts provided.
-Leave for your home port after meeting a lot of new friends

2009 Florida Beneteau Rendezvous Wrap Up
Perfect weather set the tone for the March 6-8 Gulf Coast Beneteau Rendezvous on Treasure Island. Dockmaster Les Lathrop was the gracious host at the Treasure Island Yacht and Tennis Club.
All Beneteau sail and power owners were invited to bring the crew and enjoy the weekend. Murray Yacht Sales, the Gulf Coast Beneteau dealer, hosted the event and was in charge of buying the free kegs and keeping them cold.
Event sponsors made sure that all participants left with plenty of goodies. In addition to meeting other Beneteau owners at a rendezvous, participants get a chance to see new boat toys. JSI sent a new Ronstan Boom Tent as a door prize for everybody to play with. Tackle Shack’s Jimmy LeVine’s business card reads “we sell FUN” and they sure do. Jimmy brought Hobie pedal kayak’s for the Beneteau owner’s to try. The inflatable version could replace the traditional dinghy and motor. See more toys on the videos links below.
Rendezvous’ are not complete without awards. Nina Japhe aboard B321 “Carried Away” won the most enthusiast tennis player award while three year old Liam Malony won the youngest sailor & his dog Bailey, best behaved pooch. The coveted Best Beneteau Award is traditionally awarded to the boat that receives the most votes following the boat visitation/cocktail party late Saturday afternoon. All of the usual bribery and underhanded behavior could not break the tie between Betty & Charlie Delano’s First 36s7 “Clair de Lune” and the Malony clan aboard B361 “Deux Monds”. Drastic measures were taken to break the tie but neither boat’s representative could actually swing the brass ring to the hook. Beneteau trivia was introduced and the Delano’s guessed the closest to the founding year of Beneteau, 1884. Congratulations to Betty & Charlie.
